RYA POWERBOAT
LEVEL 2 / ICC
A two day course that covers close quarters boat handling, planing manoeuvres, man overboard recovery and more. Giving you all you need to competently handle a powerboat. You can then apply for an ICC which enables you to drive and hire a powerboat in Europe!
RYA DINGHY
ADULT LEVEL 1
This two day course is designed to introduce you to dinghy sailing and build up your boat handling and knowledge so that you feel confident heading out on the water.
YOUTH CLUB
HALF DAY
Youth Club 1/2 day is designed for children of all ages. Youth Club 1/2 day provides them with 3 hours of playing games and activities, on the water and on the beach led by our instructors. These activities include Sailing, Beach Games and Stand Up Paddleboarding.
STAND UP PADDLEBOARD HIRE
When you hire a Stand Up Paddleboard from us you receive all equipment needed and the assurance of beach safety cover. The perfect way to get out on the water!

About Us
We are a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) watersports centre on the beautiful Mar Menor, Spain. As a watersports centre, we pride ourselves on being able to give our clients the most time possible on the water, all year round.
We deliver fantastic watersports opportunities at Provela Academy, providing you with the chance to see the stunning Mar Menor from the water. With hire, trips and courses available, you have so many choices as to how you want to get onto the water with us! You can also gain your RYA qualifications in Dinghy Sailing and Powerboating, helping you further your skills.
Our team are very passionate about watersports and together have a wide range of experience and qualifications. We are an English speaking team and here at Provela Academy we have the philosophy ‘Live, Learn, Explore!’. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to get on the water and try new things because through experiencing new things we learn and overall, we live our best lives!
Provela Academy is located on the beautiful Mar Menor, Europe’s largest saltwater Lagoon. We experience 350 days of sunshine, phenomenal wind statistics and an average temperate of 20°C, un-equalled in all of Europe. The flat plains surrounding the Mar Menor, and the distant hills create a microclimate, shielding us from rough conditions whilst also creating reliable morning land breezes and afternoon thermal winds.
Provela Academy has both slipway and beach access to the water providing easy launching access into the Mar Menor’s warm waters. With 170km2 of water at our disposal we are never over-crowded. However, we generally restrict our sailing area nearer to the beach for a more comfortable learning experience and to ensure the highest quality of instructing.
Provela Academy was born from the original dinghy foiling centre Provela in 2017. Since then we have been providing our high-level tuition and service on the Mar Menor. At Provela Academy we are always looking to develop and improve so that we can continue to provide the best equipment, facilities and instructing.
